I have connected a ground to the led, added a current reduction MPSao6, teamed up the main MPSa06 with a 2n2222, and am using 15k resistor with the N/O switch. My toroid is a high perm. Electronics Goldmine toroid, 10 turn / 35 turn with a small gauge wire. The large L3 was made from taking apart a large microwave shaded pole fan motor and putting all of the wire on a cardboard tube. I am pretty sure this is a non-optimal configuration.
